Mutabak

Mutabak (or Murtabak/Mutabbaq) is a delicious, folded, pan-fried flatbread, a popular street food from the Middle East (Yemen/Saudi Arabia) that spread across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore). It’s known for its savory, meaty (or sometimes sweet) fillings, often mixed with eggs, onions, and spices, creating a crispy exterior with a flavorful, hearty center, served warm with sauces or sides.
