Top Reasons
All Love Kottu
Kottu is originated as a food from eastern Tamil regions of Trincomalee or Batticaloa in the 1960s/1970s. The name, and its variations, is derived from both Tamil and Sinhalese languages meaning ‘chopped bread. Kottu has a history as rich as its taste.
🤍 Kottu’s creativity relies on spices rather than ingredients.
🤍 A traditional Kottu is made from rotis that are chopped up into small strips and mixed with an assortment of spices
🤍 A kottu is heavy on the carbs, but light on your wallet, making it Sri Lanka’s favourite comfort food.
